All-New IS 300 Leads Lexus to Best-Ever July SalesTORRANCE, Calif. - In its first full month on sale, the all-new IS 300 entry- level sport sedan posted sales of 2,073 units, boosting Lexus' July sales to 17,603 cars and sport utility vehicles, a 7.1 percent increase from a year ago and a best-ever July for the luxury nameplate. Sedan sales finished the month 2.9 percent ahead of last July. The RX 300 continued as the best-selling model in the Lexus line-up with sales of 7,489 units, up 16.5 percent from the same period last year. Year-to-date sales of 111,281 represents a 4.1 increase from 1999. "Given that Lexus has the highest sales-per-outlet of any nameplate, and with our consistent sales growth, we must stay focused on making sure the increased volume doesn't jeopardize our customers' positive experience at their dealership," said Lexus' new Group Vice President and General Manager Denny Clements. "Earlier in July, it was announced that Lexus once again ranked Number One in Customer Satisfaction with Dealer Service in J.D. Power and Associates annual Customer Service Index (CSI) Study, and we're confident that as sales continue to grow, our dealers will be able to keep up this high standard." With the recent launch of the IS 300 and the upcoming introduction of the all-new LS 430 premium luxury sedan, Lexus is poised to continue its heritage of offering an outstanding product line paired with excellent customer service.
