Infiniti Division Has Record Breaking July Sales

    CARSON, Calif. - Led by record sales of the new 2001 QX4, the Infiniti 
Division of Nissan North America, Inc., posted sales of 7,455 units, an 18 
percent increase versus last year and a record for the month of July.

    As the volume sales leader, the Infiniti I30 reported a 30.5 percent
increase versus the same period last year, with sales of 3,602 units in July.
Other notable achievements for the division include:

    -- The popular QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle, which received numerous
       improvements for the 2001 model year had another record month,
       reporting sales of 2,025 units in July, an increase of 24.4 percent
       versus last year.

    -- The G20 sports sedan posted sales of 1,374 units in July, an increase
       of 7.8 percent versus the previous year.

    -- Infiniti's flagship Q45 performance sedan posted sales of 454 units for
       the month of July.

    Nissan North America, Inc. combined sales for July, including Nissan and
Infiniti divisions, totaled 69,029 units, a 0.2 percent increase versus last
year.

    Infiniti is supported by a network of over 150 retailers throughout North
America and offers a range of luxury vehicles including the Infiniti QX4
luxury Sport Utility Vehicle, G20 sports sedan, I30 luxury sedan, and flagship
Q45 luxury performance sedan.
