Kia Records Hot Summer Sales in July
    IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 1 Kia today announced July sales of
12,300 vehicles, including the first sales of Kia's all-new Rio, America's
least-expensive car.
    Sephia was back on top of the Kia sales charts in July, outselling
Sportage after losing the company sales crown for the first time in history
during June.  Spectra sales continued their steady growth with 1,298 sold in
July.  Overall Kia sales are up 11.8 percent for the year over 1999 figures.
Kia Motors America is the U.S. sales, marketing and service arm of Kia Motors
Corp. in Seoul, South Korea.
