Audi's 2000 Record Pace Continues With Best July Sales Ever

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Even with the full-line transition to 2001 models in
July, Audi of America's record setting pace in 2000 continued, reporting total
sales of 6,547 for the best July sales month ever, an increase of 9.8 percent
over July 1999 when sales were 5,965. July represents the seventh consecutive
month in 2000 where the company posted year-over-year sales gains. Audi year-
to-date sales increased 37.1 percent to 46,919 versus the 34,217 vehicles sold
during the first seven months of last year.

Audi's hot-selling TT posted major monthly sales gains with July sales of
944, up 106.1% over last year's sales of 458.

Continued growth was seen from the A6 range with 2,543 sales, up 12.2
percent over the same month last year when sales totaled 2,266. The Audi A4
was slightly off due to limited availability with sales of 2,904 for the
month, versus 3,047 for July 1999, down 4.7 percent.

Audi's all-aluminum flagship A8 reported total sales of 156. In July, the
A8 L accounted for 75.0 percent of all A8 sales.
