Yazaki Names Wilson Vice President - Component Business UnitCANTON, Mich. - Yazaki North America, Inc., a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the automotive industry, today announced the appointment of William A. Wilson, Jr. as vice president of its Components Business Unit. Wilson joins Yazaki from Lear/UT Automotive (UTA), where he was vice president of operations. He brings more than 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, engineering and management. Previously he was director of operations for MIDWEC at its Philippine operations for wiring systems. At Yazaki, Wilson is responsible for the management of all aspects of operations of the Components Unit, including product design and development, quality assurance and cost maintenance. "The automotive industry has expanded beyond national and continental boundaries," said Tetsuro Suzuki, president and CEO. "Mr. Wilson's experience in the global marketplace will contribute greatly to Yazaki's growing presence worldwide." Wilson earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from the University of Nebraska. Before entering college, he served as a clinical specialist in the U.S. Army in the United States as well as Vietnam.
