Yazaki Names Haley Vice President of Human ResourcesCANTON, Mich. - Yazaki North America, Inc., a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the automotive industry, today announced the appointment of Colleen C. Haley as vice president of human resources. As a vice president, Haley becomes one of the highest-ranking women executives at Yazaki. She also becomes the third new officer to join the company in the last several months, continuing an aggressive recruiting trend at the Canton-based, Tier One supplier. Haley joins Yazaki from Alcoa Fujikura Limited (AFL), where she was general manager of the company's components group based in Dearborn, Mich. Previously she was regional manager for human resources with AFL and held various human resources posts with AFL's parent company, Alcoa, in Pittsburgh, Penn. At Yazaki, Haley is responsible for the company's dynamic and expansive human resources department, as well as legal compliance, benefits, safety, travel services and internal communications. And, as part of Yazaki's efforts to provide its associates with ongoing education, Haley will oversee the company's state-of-the-art Learning Center, a 40,000 square foot, multi-media training center located on the Yazaki campus. "Ms. Haley is dedicated to the continuous development of Yazaki's most important resource -- its people," said Tetsuro Suzuki, president and CEO. "With her leadership experience and many years of human resources management, I am confident that she will take the company's recruiting and development programs to new heights." Haley earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University. She has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Society of Human Resources Management, and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
