Harel Kodesh Appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wingcast

Key Executive to Drive Development and Delivery of New Mobile Services
    
    DEARBORN, Mich. - Ford Motor Company and QUALCOMM Incorporated today 
announced the appointment of Harel Kodesh as president and chief executive 
officer of their new venture, Wingcast, a Ford and QUALCOMM company.  Kodesh 
joins Wingcast from Microsoft Corporation, where he served as vice president of 
consumer appliances.  In his new role, Kodesh will lead the development and 
delivery of integrated wireless services that will shape the next generation of 
automotive intelligence through seamless wireless connectivity with a variety of 
devices.

device world," said Paul E. Jacobs, executive vice president for QUALCOMM.

automotive industry."

    In his role at Microsoft, Kodesh led the development and marketing of the
Microsoft Windows CE operating system and its embedded development products as
well as categories of information appliances that run on Windows CE, such as
the Handheld PC, Palm-size PC, Auto PC and entertainment systems such as Sega
Dreamcast.

    Previously, Kodesh managed the object linking and embedding (OLE) team
charged with developing new object technology for Microsoft Windows.  Before
joining Microsoft in 1992, Kodesh was responsible for developing new
technology in wireless radio modems and terminals for the mobile data division
of Motorola Inc.

    Wingcast, a Ford and QUALCOMM company, based in San Diego, Calif., is
being formed to enable the convergence of wireless communications and
information technology with the automobile to deliver a host of integrated
services including information, navigation, entertainment, safety and
security.
