Lexus Announces 2001 Prices for GS 300 and RX 300

    TORRANCE, Calif. - Lexus announced today Manufacturer's Suggested Retail 
Prices for the GS 300 high-performance sport sedan and the RX 300 sport utility 
vehicle.

    The 2001 GS 300, which receives a new 16" wheel design as well as a
revised grille, headlamps and rear combination lamps, will have an MSRP of
$38,555.  For 2001, the GS 300 gains the popular E-shift, which allows the
driver to upshift and downshift via buttons mounted on the steering wheel.
The GS 300 also gets side curtain airbag supplemental restraint systems for
the driver and front passenger seats, compass, water-repellent front door
glass and shift-activated door locks.

    The 2001 RX 300 receives a revised grille, headlamps and rear combination
lamps.  The four wheel drive model's MSRP will be $35,655, while the
front-wheel drive version will be priced at $33,905.  Both models receive new
standard Vehicle Skid Control (VSC), Brake Assist, dual-sliding sun visors,
spare alloy wheel, three-point rear center seatbelt, water-repellent front
glass and three child seat top tether anchors.

    The delivery, processing and handling fee for all 2001 models increases
$50 to $545.
