Kreft Retires After Fourteen Years with LeasePlan USA

    ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Don Kreft, President and CEO of Alpharetta-based LeasePlan USA, retired on July 17th, 2000 after 14 years with the company.

    LeasePlan, a wholly owned subsidiary of ABN AMRO Lease Holding, N.V., is one of the world's largest providers of vehicle management and fleet leasing solutions.

    Kreft, 59, led LeasePlan from an 1100 vehicle company in 1986 to over 125,000 managed vehicles currently. LeasePlan has offices in 25 countries on six continents with headquarters in The Netherlands.

    In 1999, Mr. Kreft was named Regional Director of North America for LeasePlan and established a brand new corporate headquarters building at Sanctuary Park in Alpharetta after 13 years in the Interstate North and Piedmont Park areas.

    David Dahm, LeasePlan's CFO, has been named interim President and CEO.
