DaimlerChrysler Corporation Reports U.S. and Canadian Assembly Plant Schedule for Week of July 31, 2000

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - DaimlerChrysler Corporation reports all nine U.S. 
assembly plants and one Canadian assembly plant will operate the week of July 31, 
2000.

    Belvidere (IL) will operate two eight-hour shifts weekdays.  Conner Ave.
(MI) will operate one eight-hour shift weekdays.  Sterling Heights (MI) will
operate two eight-hour shifts weekdays.  Dodge City Complex-Warren Truck (MI)
will operate two eight-hour shifts weekdays.  Jefferson-North (Detroit, MI)
will operate three seven-hour shifts weekdays.  Newark (DE) will operate two
eight-hour shifts weekdays.  St. Louis-North (Fenton, MO) and St. Louis-South
(Fenton, MO) will operate two nine-hour shifts weekdays.  Toledo (OH) will
operate two eight-hour shifts weekdays.

    In Ontario, Canada, Bramalea will not operate due to construction.
Windsor will operate three seven-and-a-half hour shifts weekdays.  Pillette
will not operate due to model changeover.
