Tracks: Great racing action on tap at Lebanon Valley in August

WEST LEBANON, NY-A quick look at the racing calendar tells us that there will be six nights of racing excitement at Lebanon Valley in the month of August. The big event of this month's card is the Mr. Dirt Track USA event for big block modifieds. It is also getting down to crunch time in the title chases at the high banks. There is only a five-point difference between first and second in the modified, sportsman and street stock divisions combined! With so much on the line you now the action will really heat up in the month of August. Due to some scheduling conflicts and wet weather we have changed the sponsors of a couple of the August dates. August 5th is the first night of action as Vermeer Sales and Service and T-net bring us all the action. There will be a pit party for the kids before the race and there will also be a rollover contest as well. A regular card of modifieds, sportsman, IMCA modifieds, street stocks, pure stocks and rookies will all be on hand. Race time is 6:15. Two-wheeled thundered hit the track the very next day on Sunday, August 6th as the Big Foot AMA Cycle races are in town. The very best names in motorcycle racing will be on hand to try and conquer the lightning fast high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway. There will also be a motorcycle swap meet with the gates opening at 11:00 am. Admission to this great special event is just $7. Mr. Dirt Track, USA takes center stage on Thursday night, August 10th as BUDWESIER the official beer of Lebanon Valley presents one of the biggest events of the season. The very best names in DIRT modified racing will be on hand to take home the top prize of $17,500. This is also one of the stops on the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series and someone will walk away with the coveted prize of a guaranteed starting spot in the Eckerd 200 at Super Dirt Week. Also on hand on this very special night will be the 358-modifieds. Gates open at 5pm with modified time trials beginning at 6pm. General admission is just $16 with reserved seat $18. Saturday, August 12th is SAXTON SIGN NIGHT at Lebanon Valley. This will be a regular show as the Valley celebrates the era of the Fabulous 50's. Race time is 6:15 Saturday, August 19th will be PARTS PLUS NIGHT at the Valley. The New York State Institute for Entrepreneurship will also take part in the night's festivities. A regular show will be in action as well as a giant demolition derby. The demo derbies are always a fan favorite and the kids love watching the cars try and demolish each other. It is also Smile Night at the Valley. Race time is 6:15. The final night of racing for the month of August finds BERKSHIRE BANK and T-N-T SALES bringing us the action. All the regular divisions will be in competition as well as the 358-modifieds. Race time is 6:15 So get the family together and come down to Lebanon Valley Speedway for some great racing action, you will not be disappointed.
