M2 Appoints Steven Dichter as President and Chief Operating Officer

    SANTA MONICA, Calif.--July 25, 2000--M2 Collision Care Centers (M2), the leading provider of collision repair services in California, recently announced the appointment of Steven Dichter as president and chief operating officer. Since joining M2 in September 1999, Dichter has been serving as acting COO.
    Prior to joining M2, Dichter was a senior partner with McKinsey & Company, recognized as the leading global management consulting firm. During his 18 years with McKinsey, he led the Organization Performance Practice, specializing in building high performance workplaces in people-intensive businesses. Dichter worked in a wide variety of industries including electronics, steel, paper, railroads, insurance and magazine publishing. In the public sector, he provided pro-bono assistance to the New York City Police Department, New York City School System and the U.S. Department of Labor.
    Dichter co-authored "Real Change Leaders" published by Random House in 1996. His book focuses on developing a new breed of leaders in middle management that are skilled at managing change. Dichter holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Swarthmore College.
