Unique Mobility, Inc. Announces Additional Development Contract With Deere & Company

GOLDEN, Colo. - UNIQUE MOBILITY, INC., a developer of alternative
energy technologies, announced today that it has entered into a contract with
Deere & Company to develop hybrid electric vehicle systems and components for
future John Deere products.

The contract provides that Unique will work with John Deere on an
exclusive basis for up to three years to develop proprietary brushless
permanent magnet motors, electronic controllers and related components for
hybrid electric vehicles and evaluate their commercial potential. This
project follows a similar agreement with John Deere announced by the Company
in March for the application of Unique's proprietary electric motor and
controls technology to other John Deere products.

"We are delighted to expand our multi-year collaboration with John Deere
to include another application of our technology that will enhance the
capability of John Deere products," said William G. Rankin, Unique's Chairman,
President and Chief Executive Officer. "The application of our highly
efficient motors and controls in combination with evolving technologies such
as the new 42-volt electrical system standard can revolutionize the capability
of products of industry leading companies like John Deere."

Bernard B. Poore, John Deere's Manager, Product Technology, also commented
on the project. "Unique has demonstrated an ability to develop highly
efficient permanent magnet motors and electronic control systems over a broad
range of applications," Mr. Poore said. "We are pleased to have Unique
developing advanced products for us on an exclusive basis."
