Autoweb.com Names Former GM and EDS Executive Nadyne G. Edison As Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Customer Relationship ManagementSANTA CLARA, Calif., July 20 Autoweb.com, Inc. today announced that Nadyne G. Edison has joined the company in the newly created position of chief marketing officer and vice president of customer relationship management. Edison was formerly director of New Media Marketing at General Motors Corporation, and most recently served as vice president of strategic development for Automotive Customer Relationship Management at EDS, Inc. Edison has extensive experience developing CRM strategies for vehicle manufacturers and dealers to better serve and interact with online automotive consumers. In 1996, while at General Motors, she launched gm.com, a fully integrated Web site linking corporate, divisional and retail sites, giving GM the largest online presence of any vehicle manufacturer at the time. Prior to joining General Motors, Edison created and served as the first executive director of the Mayor's Office of Film, Television and New Business Development for the City of Detroit. She was also a professor of Mass Communication at New York University. As president of her own marketing communication firm, Edison consulted with major Fortune 500 companies in the automotive, entertainment and communication industries. In addition to her responsibilities in directing Autoweb.com's marketing efforts, Edison will establish and direct the company's customer relationship management strategy, leveraging Autoweb's customer knowledge with vehicle manufacturers.
