Hydrogen Burner Technology Names Michael Burke Chief Financial OfficerRANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. - Hydrogen Burner Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of on-site hydrogen generators and integrated fuel processors for fuel cell applications has named Michael K. Burke to the position of chief financial officer. Having 19 years of experience on Wall Street with a focus on the energy, utilities and power- technology industries, Burke "brings vital financial expertise to our company as we move from the research and development phase to the product production and business expansion phases," announced HBT President and CEO, David Moard. Previously, Burke served as managing director of the U.S. Investment Banking Department of CIBC Oppenheimer Corporation in New York. Burke's new responsibilities will include all financial affairs for HBT, reporting directly to Moard. Burke comes to HBT with high expectations. He comments, "HBT has an exciting business model that is diversified across a broad spectrum of the fuel cell and industrial reformer markets making HBT an attractive platform from which to raise capital and further expand its growth." "HBT is completing a $10 million private placement that includes two strategic partners for distribution and sales of the industrial hydrogen generation equipment and manufacturing support of our fuel cell products," said Moard. "HBT's orders for stationary reformers continue to increase and positions the company to access public capital markets in the near term."
