Hydrogen Burner Technology Names Michael Burke Chief Financial Officer

RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. - Hydrogen Burner Technology, Inc., a manufacturer
of on-site hydrogen generators and integrated fuel processors for fuel cell
applications has named Michael K. Burke to the position of chief financial
officer. Having 19 years of experience on Wall Street with a focus on the
energy, utilities and power- technology industries, Burke "brings vital
financial expertise to our company as we move from the research and development
phase to the product production and business expansion phases," announced HBT
President and CEO, David Moard.

Previously, Burke served as managing director of the U.S. Investment
Banking Department of CIBC Oppenheimer Corporation in New York. Burke's new
responsibilities will include all financial affairs for HBT, reporting
directly to Moard.

Burke comes to HBT with high expectations. He comments, "HBT has an
exciting business model that is diversified across a broad spectrum of the
fuel cell and industrial reformer markets making HBT an attractive platform
from which to raise capital and further expand its growth."

"HBT is completing a $10 million private placement that includes two
strategic partners for distribution and sales of the industrial hydrogen
generation equipment and manufacturing support of our fuel cell products,"
said Moard. "HBT's orders for stationary reformers continue to increase and
positions the company to access public capital markets in the near term."

Jay Hatfield, managing director at CIBC Oppenheimer comments, "Although we
are very sorry to see Michael Burke leave, we are excited about the prospects
for HBT and believe he will be an outstanding addition to their senior
management team."

CIBC Oppenheimer is the U.S. division of CIBC World Markets, the global
marketing name of the investment banking and securities businesses of the
Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Hydrogen Burner Technology, Inc. (HBT) manufactures on-site hydrogen
generators for industrial markets and stationary and transportation hydrogen
processors for the fuel cell market. HBT's breakthrough products are built
around its patented Underoxidized Burner technology.
