CLEVELAND, OHIO (July 2000) ACCEL announces expanded application coverage for the Billetproof
v 71000 Series magnetically triggered 12 volt Electronic Breakerless Distributors for AMC/Jeep V8 engines.

The self-contained, ready-to-run 71000 Series distributors are the perfect replacement for points-style distributors or oversized OE-style distributors. They are designed to provide quicker starting, a smoother running engine and plenty of high RPM power 
) along with great looks and a compact design that will fit in your engine compartment. Features include an ultra-durable CNC-machined billet 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum housing, and a precision-machined centerless ground shaft with a 4 micron finish which rides in extra-long, permanently oiled, sintered bronze bushings for high-speed stability and endurance.

These distributors also feature fully adjustable mechanical and vacuum advance mechanisms, as well as lock-out capabilities. The self-contained 12 volt electronic module eliminates the need for a ballast resistor, and it is fully compatible with CD control boxes. Recommended for use with ACCEL p/n 8145 and 8145C oil filled can-style coils.
