Visteon and PSA Peugeot-Citroen to Develop New Generation Of Climate Control Systems

PARIS - Visteon Corporation continues to broaden its international
engineering expertise by announcing a significant collaboration effort with PSA
Peugeot-Citroen to develop innovative architectures for a next generation
climate control system.

The program, which will span two years, will result in the development of
a climate control system aimed at improving passenger comfort and optimizing
in-vehicle global thermal systems management. The development will take place
at PSA Peugeot-Citroen's technical centers in France and Visteon's technical
centers in Germany and the United States. A demonstration vehicle equipped
with the system is targeted for 2001.

The collaboration emphasizes the long-standing relationship between
Visteon and PSA Peugeot-Citroen. "Visteon is committed to providing vehicle
manufacturers throughout the world with leading-edge engineering and design
expertise in climate control modules and systems," said Frank Croskey, vice
president and general manager, Visteon Corporation's Climate Control Systems
Group.

Visteon's Comfort, Communication and Safety segment, in which its Climate
Control Systems Group resides, provides a unique approach in terms of thermal
systems management. Through this program, Visteon will be able to leverage
its engineering expertise to adopt a total vehicle systems approach.
Visteon's ability to develop breakthrough solutions has allowed the
corporation to design a climate control system that is capable of drastically
reducing the thermal load on vehicles.

"The program between Visteon and PSA Peugeot-Citroen highlights our
commitment to continually develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of
drivers and passengers," said Roseann Stevens, vice president, Global OE
Accounts, Visteon Corporation. "This program will provide a great opportunity
for both companies to continue working together toward a common goal."
