'Cruiser Mania' Hits the Internet Chrysler PT Cruiser Web Site

PT Cruiser Web Site Receives Over a Half Million Visits per Month

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - While people are rushing to Chrysler showrooms across 
the country to see one of the hottest automotive products in decades -- the PT 
Cruiser -- even more are showing interest in this new vehicle by visiting 
virtual showrooms over the Internet.

    "The Chrysler brand web site is seeing extremely high interest in the PT
Cruiser," said Tom Marinelli, Vice President of DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler/
Jeep(R) Brands.  "This kind of web activity is simply unprecedented."

    For the month of June, the Chrysler site received 688,501 visits from
people seeking information about the PT Cruiser.  June was the third
consecutive month in which the number of PT Cruiser visits exceeded half a
million.

    "In June, the PT Cruiser received more web visits than any other
DaimlerChrysler product by over 600%," added Marinelli.  "More importantly,
our customer relationship management initiatives are proactively turning these
viewers into potential customers with e-mail updates, as well as
individualized feedback to viewers who have continuously shown interest in the
PT Cruiser web site."

    The PT Cruiser web site contains a variety of PT Cruiser information.  
Visitors to the site can look up facts and figures, find independent reviews and 
even locate dealers.  There is even a link called "fun stuff," where the visitor 
can see "PT Cruiser movies," download PT Cruiser screensavers and even order PT 
Cruiser merchandise through the "e-store."
