Pep Boys also announced that it was returning to a divisional field structure two years after establishing a centralized store organization. In conjunction with that change, the company announced the following promotions.

-- Kris Boodram, Regional Manager, has been promoted to Vice
    President-Eastern Store Operations
-- Michael McSorley, Regional Manager, has been promoted to Vice
    President-Western Store Operations
-- Allen Sinclair, Vice President-Store Administration, has been
promoted to Vice President- Southern Store Operations

promoted to Assistant Vice President-Puerto Rico Operations

Pep Boys CEO, Mitchell G. Leibovitz, made the following comments:

"We are enthusiastic about Don Casey's return to Pep Boys. With 27 years of automotive aftermarket experience, twelve of which were at Pep Boys, Don has a wealth of knowledge and is familiar with our systems and our team. We are counting on him to help rectify the supply chain problems that we have encountered since mid-March as well as maximize the merchandising advantages that we enjoy.

We are also convinced that a return to the divisional store structure, along with the promotion of Kris, Mike, Allen and Bill, will improve the customer service, appearance and overall performance of our stores."
