Alamo Tests Stroller Rentals in Orlando

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Alamo Rent A Car is testing stroller rentals at their Orlando facility as part of their dedicated effort to meet the unique needs of leisure travelers. Alamo is the only car rental company in the US to make stroller rentals available to their customers.

    "Leisure travelers often travel with families and find themselves renting strollers at premium prices at the various theme parks and attractions they visit. This convenient, value-added benefit can make the vacation more fun from the start and ultimately save them money," said Beth Kaplan, Alamo's marketing vice president. "By renting a stroller when they pick up their car, customers can take advantage of the stroller throughout their entire vacation."

    Alamo will test the strollers for the next four to six months at the Orlando facility -- the largest car rental plaza in the world. "Orlando was the most logical choice for the test because of the wide variety of attractions and family vacation destinations," said Kaplan. "If the strollers prove as popular as we think they will, we will be rolling out this product to additional Alamo locations in the very near future."

    During the test period, Alamo customers traveling to Orlando can request a stroller when they make a reservation or at the time of rental. The strollers in the test are Endeavor(tm) Lightweight Toddler Strollers. The stroller features a lightweight steel frame which makes it easy to lift and load in the car; an easy, pull-trigger fold which enables one-hand operation; two-position adjustable seat which allows the child to recline; a removable front snack and toy tray; an accessory tray with cup holder and a storage basket.
