Federal-Mogul Deals to Divest Its Greek Auto Parts Distributor

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Federal-Mogul Corporation today announced it has 
entered into an agreement to sell its Greek distribution operations to the 
companies of A.G. Raskos S.A. of Athens and Stylidis S.A. of Thessaloniki, 
Greece.

    Federal-Mogul's Greek business operates warehouse locations in Athens and
Thessaloniki with approximately 35 employees.  The business distributes
automotive spare parts to the independent aftermarket in Greece and has annual
sales of approximately $5 million.

    "We are pleased to transfer this operation to two important customers of
Federal-Mogul in Greece," said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive
officer. "We appreciate our employees' contributions to our operations in
Greece and wish them well in the continued success of these operations."

    Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is an automotive
parts manufacturer providing innovative solutions and systems to global
customers in the automotive, light trucks, heavy duty, farm and industrial
markets.  The company was founded in 1899.
