NASCAR WWEST: Raudman Looks to Lead L.A. Street Race

13 July 2000

Rancho Santa Margarita, California (July 11, 2000) - Craig Raudman, driver
of Dave Reed Racing's #2 Yerf-Dog/ITP Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston
West and Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring, returns to Los
Angeles for the July 16th Ford L.A. Street Race, hoping to pick up where
he left off in last year's event.

Raudman finished a close second in the 1999 L.A. Street Race, just .326
of a second behind race winner A.J. Alsup. In the 1998 inaugural event,
Raudman finished sixth from a fourth place spot on the starting grid.

The Ford L.A. Street Race will be Raudman's second competitive effort
since his April 29 accident at California Speedway. Although he opted
to let a backup driver take over for him halfway through the Southwest
Series event at Sears Point Raceway last month, Raudman fully expects
to run competitively this Sunday.

"I'm back up to speed now. Lots of physical therapy, and just the time
to heal, have really helped," Raudman commented. Surgery was required
to repair bones in Raudman's left foot that were broken in the April accident.

"The mix of drivers is a little different this year, so it should be interestin

g," Raudman continued. "We designed the car we're using just for road
courses. We used it here last year, and at Sears Point a month ago, and
it ran extremely well both times."

Raudman has a strong road course history, which includes wins and top
five finishes at Sears Point in Southwest Series and Winston West cars.
Although the L.A. Street Race course is fashioned from concrete barriers
and temporary fencing, the same road course skills used at Sears Point
apply, and should once again keep him at the front of the field.

In addition to sponsors, fans, friends and family who will be on hand
to support Raudman and the team, Captain Yerf-Dog, mascot for Dave Reed
Racing's primary sponsor, Yerf-Dog Fun Karts, is expected to attend this
weekend's festivities to encourage the team and meet and greet the fans.

The July 16th Ford L.A. Street Race will be broadcast live by Los Angeles'
KNBC 4 beginning at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Bud Pole award. He finished the 1998 season in seventh place out of fifteen
drivers competing for the Sears Point Raceway Winston West Rookie-of-the-Year
Award and thirteenth in the points standings. Raudman finished in the
top five in final points standings in four of his past five full NASCAR
