Scheer Named Vice President and Chief Information Officer For Textron Fastening Systems

    TROY, Mich. - Kendall E. Scheer has been named vice president and chief 
information officer for Textron Fastening Systems.

    Scheer, 46, will guide the implementation of company-wide information
systems technology initiatives as well as serve as an advisor and consultant
to the company's business groups.

    "Kendall's demonstrated Supply Chain systems expertise will be a valuable
asset to our growing business," said Textron Fastening Systems chairman,
president, and chief executive officer Jack Sights.

    Mr. Scheer most recently served as supply chain information officer for
Delphi Automotive Systems where he assumed responsibilities for commonizing
and optimizing Supply Chain and e-Commerce Information Systems across seven
divisions.  Prior to Delphi, Mr. Scheer held various senior-level positions in
information technology at i2 Technologies, Inc., Oracle Corporation, EDS, and
Caterpillar.

    Mr. Scheer is a graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas
and serves as chairman of the Electronic Commerce Steering Committee for the
Automotive Industry Action Group.
