Carlisle Acquires UniTrek Company of Vancouver, Washington
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Carlisle Companies Incorporated announced today that its wire, cable and cable assembly operation, Tensolite Company, acquired privately held UniTrek Company. UniTrek is a manufacturer of radio frequency and microwave cable assemblies and complex wire harnesses supplied to OEM's in the wireless communications, electronic test and measurement, and defense electronics markets. UniTrek employs over 160 people at its facilities in Vancouver, Washington.John E. Berlin, President of Tensolite, stated, "UniTrek is an excellent company and adds considerably to Tensolite by expanding our capabilities in RF and Microwave cable interconnect products. They will bring Tensolite valuable resources, as well as provide a strategic West Coast location to help us better service our OEM customers on a national basis. The acquisition of UniTrek will further strengthen Tensolite's ability to capitalize on the significant growth opportunities that exist in the rapidly expanding market for RF/Microwave cable assemblies and complex wire harnesses."
Tensolite is a leader in the manufacture of specialty bulk wire and cable and specialty wire and cable interconnect solutions.
Terms of the cash transaction were not disclosed.
Carlisle is a diversified manufacturer of products serving construction materials, industrial components, automotive components and general industry markets.
