Trader Publishing Company Partners With General Motors Certified Used Vehicle Brand
NORFOLK, Va., July 5 Trader Publishing Company, the
nation's largest publisher of classifieds, has formed a unique partnership
with the General Motors Certified Used Vehicle Brand. The partnership is the
first-of-its-kind within the used-vehicle industry, and will ultimately set
the standard for other used vehicle promotional programs.
Under the agreement, all GM Certified Dealers who sign up for an eight-
week Trader Publications advertising schedule will qualify for full co-op
reimbursement under the GM Individual Dealer Co-op Advertising Program.
"This is a unique opportunity to establish a partnership with the GM
Individual Dealer Co-op Advertising Program and positively impact the dealers'
promotional exposure," stated Clay Gill, Vice President of Trader National
Publications. "This program will allow dealers to have more time to sell
instead of filing claims ... It just makes doing business with Trader
Publishing Company easy."
To kick off the announcement of this event, General Motors Certified Used
Vehicle Brand is planning a multi-media advertising launch to five major
cities beginning in July.  These cities include Grand Rapids, MI; Tampa, FL;
Indianapolis, IN; Cincinnati, OH; and Cleveland, OH.
Trader Publishing Company also owns Dealer Specialties, Inc. and Rolling
Maronie, both providers of used vehicle window labels and vehicle inventory
data services. Trader Publishing Company recently purchased United
Advertising Publications Inc. with 655 publications with a weekly circulation
of over 9 million. This makes Trader Publishing Company the largest publisher
of classified and photo guild publications in the United States.

of weekly and monthly magazines serving more than 80 percent of the U.S.,
including 177 paid photo guides, 23 classified ad publications, 213 free

such as Auto Trader magazine and Boat Trader magazine. It also distributes
over 3.6 million free copies each week, serving primarily the automotive and
employment sectors with Auto Mart magazine and The Employment Guide. Trader
Publishing Company's distribution arm, National Media Systems, operates in
