5 July 2000
SBC Communications Employee, Steven Solis, Winner of BMW Z3 Drawing at ISPCON
NEW YORK - HydraWEB Technologies, the leading manufacturer of Internet Traffic Management devices that make e-business networks reliable, today presented the winner of the BMW Z3 it raffled at ISPCON in Orlando, Fla. earlier this spring. Mr. Steven Solis of Granite Bay, Calif., will receive a red BMW Z3. Long known as the manufacturer of the "Ultimate Driving Machine," BMW has a lot in common with HydraWEB. Both companies create intelligent, reliable traffic management vehicles that provide a sense of confidence and security. And both enable their users to reach new performance levels.Mr. Solis, a project manger for virtual point-of-presence dial access services at SBC Communications' Sacramento office, was one of the thousands of visitors to HydraWEB's booth at ISPCON, who had a chance to win the car. McCracken Brooks Maier, an independent judging agency, randomly selected the winner from eligible participants.
Visitors to HydraWEB's booth also saw the Hydra2500, the newest and most advanced load balancer from HydraWEB Technologies, that incorporates speed and intelligence to enable e-businesses, ISPs and ASPs to perform reliably and direct Web traffic efficiently. The Hydra2500 is the first load balancer to combine cookie, commerce and extensible agent technologies as standard features in a 2U box.
"Since I've never won anything significant before, it was a real shock to learn that I had actually won the Z3 that HydraWEB was giving away at ISPCON," said Solis. "I don't know who's more excited--me or my 17-year old daughter who has been wanting a Z3 for the last two years. I imagine I'll have to share it with her but that's a small price to pay for winning such a great car."
