Bill Ellis Racing Operation to Be Sold

    WILSON, N.C., July 5 It was announced today that the
racing equipment of Bill Ellis Motor Sports of Wilson, NC and equipment of
Leonard Turnage Racing of Wilson will be sold at Public Auction.  Bill Ellis
has decided to commit his time to other interests and no longer has need for
his racing equipment.
    The auction will be conducted by Iron Horse Auction Company of Rockingham,
NC who is recognized in America as the authority in the sale of automobile
racing equipment.  During the past 20 years they have sold such race teams as
Digard Racing, Blue Max and the famed Holmon & Moody organization.
    Items to be featured in the auction include four Race Cars and one Race
Truck as well as a Car Hauler, Motor Home, Dyno, Parts & Accessories and
Complete Engine Shop.
    The auction will be conducted on July 25th at the Bill Ellis Motor Sports
complex in Wilson which adjoins the world famous Bill Ellis Barbecue
