Auto Town's New Automated Management System Increases Dealer Sales

HAYWARD, Calif. - Auto Town, an innovative provider of software and Internet solutions for auto dealerships, has just released a new, enhanced 2.0 version of its revolutionary Dealer Trak system.

Dealer Trak is a comprehensive software suite that dramatically increases sales productivity while decreasing the sales transaction time by as much as 50%.

One of the first dealerships to implement Auto Town's new Dealer Trak 2.0 is Concord Nissan of Concord, Calif.

"The new 2.0 version should give us even more dramatic results than the previous version of Dealer Trak, which was impressive in its own right," said Jeff Caruso, general manager of Concord Nissan. "In just five months, we've already surpassed last year's entire net profits by more than 20%. We couldn't have seen this kind of marked improvement without Auto Town."

Another dealer using Dealer Trak reports sales increases of 43%. Individual sales for each salesperson are up more than 80% from the previous year and customer transaction time has been reduced by at least half.

With the new Dealer Trak software, salespeople can utilize compiled customer data to outline a daily plan of action for contacting customers and prospects for better follow-up. Management can review this same data. "Dealer Trak has clearly become an indispensable management tool," said Caruso.

"I can now access, from my desktop, every customer's contact history simply by scrolling through each salesperson's customer file. This gives management greater control and enables us to work constructively with our sales personnel to facilitate any pending deals and to better market the service end of our business."

The new 2.0 version introduces an easier, more intuitive computer interface that streamlines navigation through all of the system modules.

Designed for ease of use with all of the major functions clearly delineated on the opening screen, the new software package also provides total e-mail functionality, simplifies the salesperson's daily work planner and strategically packages various upgrades for the dealership's financing department to present more attractively at the closing of the vehicle transaction.

Dealers accomplish all of this through easy, seamless integration with most automated systems already in use.

San Francisco Bay area-based Auto Town developed its user-friendly, Windows-based system as a response to the dramatically changing dynamics of the industry where dealers face increasing competition from auto makers and aggressive dot com auto brokers.

With Dealer Trak and its suite of complementing solutions such as Credit Trak, Service Trak and Web Trak, auto dealers can benefit from its relationship with more than 90 strategic partners such as Kelly Blue Book, Black Book and NADA wholesale guides.

Auto Town has installed Dealer Trak in more than 50 key automotive dealerships. Besides its strong presence in California and Florida, Auto Town recently expanded into Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Georgia, Virginia, New York, Minnesota, Texas and Hawaii with more expansion planned, both nationally and internationally.

Steve Smythe, president and general manager of Beverly Hills Mercedes-Benz, one of the nation's leading Mercedes dealerships, is another satisfied dealer who recently contracted with Auto Town for the new system.

"This new suite of software services enables us to merge client data from every source... Internet, showroom, service department and more," said Smythe. "No other automated program on the market has the total integration capabilities of the Auto Town system."

Al Babbington, chief executive officer of Auto Town, cites dramatic reductions in transaction time, improved closing ratios and solid increases in customer satisfaction as just a few reasons why dealers embraced Auto Town's solutions.

"And the system pays for itself from day one with significant production increases," said Babbington.
