3M Extends Title Sponsorship of Randy MacDonald No. 72 Chevrolet in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
       Deal Will Keep 3M on the Track for Remainder of the 2000 Season

    ST. PAUL, Minn., June 30 3M announced today that it will
serve as the title sponsor of Randy MacDonald's No. 72 Chevrolet through the
remaining 11 races of the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
MacDonald is currently 16th in the series' point standings heading into
Saturday's Sears DieHard 200 at the Milwaukee Mile in Milwaukee, Wis.
    3M is also a NASCAR Decal and Prize Money program sponsor and its
Automotive Aftermarkets Division markets the only "NASCAR Officially Licensed"
automotive refinish products.
    "3M is a company with a long and great history in racing and this
agreement with Randy MacDonald will add another chapter," said Patsy Bartley,
manager of 3M Racing.  "We have been working with Randy and MacDonald
Motorsports on a variety of levels, but this is probably the most exciting
venture to date.  We have a lot of confidence in Randy's team and believe he
represents 3M and our brands very well."
    Products from the 3M Home Care Division and the 3M Automotive Aftermarket
Division will serve as the main focus of the sponsorship.  3M Home Care
Division markets cleaning, protecting and enhancing products for the home and
all kinds of possessions, while 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division is
dedicated to improving the physical appearance and mechanical condition of all
kinds of vehicles.
    "3M has powerful brands and it is an honor to represent a company with
such a rich tradition of quality and innovation to the millions of racing fans
around the world," MacDonald said.  "Having 3M on board for the rest of this
season should help us move up in the standings as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series moves through the last weeks of the season."
    Products in the 3M Home Care Division include Scotch-Brite(TM) Scour Pads,
Scrub Sponges, Soap Pads, and Cleaning Wipes; O-Cel-O(TM) Scour Pads, Scrub
Sponges, Sponge Wipes and Cleaning Pads as well as Scotchgard(TM) Cleaners and
other products.
    3M Automotive Aftermarket Division's "NASCAR Officially Licensed"
automotive refinish products include abrasives, masking products, adhesives,
coatings, sealers, buffing compounds and pads, body fillers, striping tapes,
Scotchcal(TM) Protective films, Scotch(TM) Electrical Tapes and dust and paint
spray respirators.
    The Zebra(TM) Body Filler product line has been featured on the 72 truck
in several races during the 2000 season.  3M Automotive Aftermarket Division
products serve the automotive paint and body shop, truck maintenance shop,
glass replacement, mechanical service and do-it-yourself markets.
    The division's product line also features Automix(TM) Panel Bonding
Adhesives, Piranha(TM) Body Putty, the newly introduced Scotch(TM) Masking
Tape 233+, Imperial(TM), Stickit(TM) and Hookit(TM) II abrasives, and a
complete line of fuel injection and other mechanical system cleaners.
