Ford Puts Critical Business Information and Interactive Applications Into Employees' Hands
SAN MATEO, Calif. - AvantGo, Inc., a mobile Internet company, today announced that Ford Motor Company has expanded its deployment of AvantGo Enterprise(TM) software to enable Ford employees around the world to access and interact with intranet content and corporate applications wirelessly from their handheld devices. Ford uses AvantGo Enterprise because it takes advantage of the company's existing information technology investment, provides time-to-market advantages and reduces the total cost of ownership of managing and deploying mobile devices throughout the corporation.A solution for building and deploying applications to mobile devices, AvantGo Enterprise wirelessly extends Internet, intranet and extranet applications to handheld computers and Internet-enabled phones.
