Groen Brothers Aviation Signs O.E.M. Agreement With Rolls-Royce Corporation

SALT LAKE CITY - Groen Brothers Aviation, Inc., manufacturer of the Hawk series gyroplanes, announced today the signing of an Original Equipment Manufacturer agreement with Rolls-Royce Corporation.

Rolls-Royce is to provide the RR250 series, 420 hp turbine engine for GBA's Jet Hawk 4T, the world's first jet powered gyroplane. The flight test program for the S/VTOL Jet Hawk 4T will begin soon at the GBA Flight Operations Facility near Phoenix, Arizona.

Rolls-Royce, a name synonymous with reliability, integrity and innovation, has been servicing both commercial and military gas turbine engine markets for more than 45 years. Their extensive experience includes the production of over 42,000 engines with support for these engines in more than 67 nations around the world. Rolls-Royce has earned a reputation of excellence through their experience, capability, knowledge and commitment to total quality and customer satisfaction.

The Jet Hawk 4T will offer an alternative to the Hawk 4 Gyroplane, which is powered by a Teledyne Continental TSIO-550, 350 hp engine. The Hawk 4 is currently in the process of FAA Type Certification with completion and first delivery of aircraft expected next year. Certification of the Jet Hawk 4T will soon follow. GBA then plans to certify the Hawk 6 (six place) and Hawk 8 (eight place) series of gyroplanes. The flight characteristics and simple design combine to offer a safe, economical form of flight for many applications including airborne law enforcement, surveillance, agricultural aerial application, commuting, package delivery, air taxi, traffic monitoring, land management, and aerial photography.

GBA is fully reporting and publicly traded on the OTC Bulletin Board.
