McCarney Technologies Increases Its Initial Order For the TruckLink System to $5.6 Million

LAS VEGAS - Telenetics Corporation announced at the International Trucking Show in Las Vegas that McCarney Technologies, Inc. of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, is increasing its initial order for TruckLink System from $1.4 million to $5.6.

Developed by MTI, TruckLink is a leading edge wireless system designed for diagnostic, maintenance and vehicle location in the heavy duty trucking industry. TruckLink is offered as an after-market installation on heavy-duty trucks, including all makes and models of Mack trucks. TruckLink incorporates Telenetics wireless data acquisition technology as is manufactured by Telenetics.

Commenting on the significant increase of the initial order by MTI, William Kosoff, director of sales for Telenetics Broadband Products, stated: "The increasing interest of major trucking companies in MTI's TruckLink System and our wireless data acquisition technology is the impetus for this consequential increase of MTI's initial order. We believe that TruckLink System will be a viable solution to the communications and diagnostics requirements of the trucking industry and a very profitable endeavor for MTI and Telenetics. It is a momentous accomplishment for us to incorporate our proprietary cellular data technology in TruckLink systems and gain the confidence of MTI and its customers to be the manufacturer of this system."

TruckLink enables the fleets owners, operators and drivers to easily access real-time maintenance information, as well as detect, capture, store and forward impending and current complications associated with a vehicle's engine, power-train and anti-lock brake system. TruckLink allows users to customize GPS reports, fault strategies and Mack diagnostic trouble code reporting. TruckLink records information in 30-second increments, 15 seconds before and radio frequency. Any unauthorized entry of the vehicle is automatically reported to the base station.

Based in Lake Forest, California, Telenetics is a provider of proprietary wireless technologies and products to the rapidly growing industrial automation markets. Telenetics uses wireless networks and equipment to collect data from industrial devices such as meters, remote terminal units, traffic controllers, industrial controls, remote sensors and data loggers and transmit it through wireless cellular and radio frequency networks or telephone lines to a host site, direct or via the Internet. Telenetics wireless solutions are used in many applications such as AMR projects, power outage detection, traffic automation projects, flow measurement, remote monitoring and wireless Internet.
