SDRC, ISID, and Sun Hold 1st CPC/PKM Forum in Japan

Keynote Presentations by Ford and Toshiba Profile Best Practices and Methodologies in CPC/PKM to 600+ Audience

    CINCINNATI - SDRC , a global supplier of e-business collaboration solutions for the product lifecycle, together with ISI-Dentsu and Sun Microsystems, today announced "The 1st CPC/PKM Solution Forum," June 27, 2000, at the Tokyo International Forum in Tokyo, Japan. Over 600 participants, representing many of Japan's leading manufacturers, were in attendance to learn about emerging solutions in collaborative product commerce and product knowledge management within the product development environment.

    Keynote presentations were provided by Dr. Richard Riff, director, C3P Project Office, Ford Motor Company and Mr. Shinya Nomura of the Engineering Information Systems Division of Toshiba Corporation. Dr. Riff spoke on the essential requirement for collaborative engineering in support of the product development process. Mr. Nomura addressed the critical role of product knowledge management, citing Toshiba's use of production proven SDRC's Metaphase(R)as the foundation of their global enterprise PKM solution.
