Autoweb.com Names William Barrett Division President Of Automotive Information CenterWESTBOROUGH, Mass., June 27 Autoweb.com, Inc.announced that William Barrett has joined the company as division president of Automotive Information Center. Mr. Barrett has over eighteen years of diversified experience in marketing and sales management and strategic planning. His most recent position was managing director of dealer/regional programs for The Polk Company's Transportation Information Services group, where he was charged with developing Polk's Internet and e-Commerce strategy for the automotive dealer marketplace. Prior to joining Polk, Mr. Barrett held marketing and sales management positions at leading information services, software publishing and business products firms, including Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and Hayes Ligon Division. "We are pleased to have someone with Bill's automotive and information services industry experience, leadership skills and vision directing AIC's business-to-business strategy," said Sam Hedgpeth, president and chief operating officer of Autoweb.com. Another recent addition to Autoweb.com's management team is Lincoln Merrihew, who joined AIC in April 2000 as director of corporate strategy. Mr. Merrihew has a diverse background in the automotive industry, having worked with OEMs, suppliers, financial institutions, advertising agencies and e-businesses. Previously, Mr. Merrihew worked in the automotive practice of Standard & Poor's DRI of Lexington, MA, most recently as head of Americas Forecasting and Business Development. Mr. Merrihew has also worked for J.D. Power and Associates in its California, Michigan, and Connecticut offices, where he addressed customer satisfaction, owner loyalty, forecasting, and consumer acceptance of electric vehicles.
