PPG Honors 10 Firms as Excellent Suppliers
PITTSBURGH - PPG Industries has recognized 10 of its suppliers for extraordinary performance in 1999. Margaret H. McGrath, vice president of purchasing and distribution, presented PPG's Excellent Supplier Awards, which are based on ratings for quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness and commercial value. Participation in the company's Supplier Added Value Program, as well as other continuous improvements, play an increasingly important role in earning the awards. The firms receiving 1999 Excellent Supplier Awards, and the products and services supplied:
-- Corhart, Louisville, Ky., chrome refractory materials.
-- Dow Specialty Chemicals, Midland, Mich., solvents.
-- The Folks Creative Partners, Marion, Ohio, labels.
