Oxford Automotive Announces Retirement of Dr. Rochus Gronwald

    TROY, Mich. - Oxford Automotive, Inc., a leading Tier 1 OEM automotive 
supplier, announced today the retirement of Dr. Rochus Gronwald, Managing 
Director of Oxford Automotive Gebr. Wackenhut GmbH, Germany, to occur on June 30, 
2000.  Gerhard Koenig, former Vice President of Product Development Services at 
MSX International, will immediately assume his responsibilities as Managing 
Director.

    During his 14 years of service, Dr. Gronwald developed Gebr. Wackenhut
GmbH into a remarkable automotive supplier and consequently paved the way for
the company's growth and success in years to come.  Most notable are his
achievements in establishing the largest e-coat and paint facility outside the
Automotive OEM's, the integration of a fully automated press line and the
launch of consolidating major operations from three plants into the expanding
Nagold Wolfsberg Plant.

    "Dr. Gronwald's strength, support and contributions in so many areas have
been invaluable.  He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of leadership and

    Gerhard Koenig spent 17 years in leadership and management at Porsche
ranging from Program Management to President and CEO of Porsche's Engineering
subsidiary in Troy, Michigan.  At Oxford Wackenhut, Koenig's expertise in
global management will come into play.
