Interactive Marketing Campaign Targets Corvette Enthusiasts
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - MindArrow Systems, a provider of interactive sales and marketing automation solutions, today announced that e-GM, the online division of General Motors, utilized MindArrow's interactive, multimedia eBrochure technology to promote the GM Experience: Live @ Le Mans, the automotive manufacturer's live electronic motorsports coverage of the world-renowned endurance race held in France.Prior to the race, MindArrow sent an interactive eBrochure on behalf of e-GM to more than 19,000 members of the Corvette Club of America (CCA). In addition to a 25-second animated video clip of the Corvette C5-R race car, the eBrochure contained an interactive hyperlink to the GM Experience (www.gm.com/lemans) where the recipient could watch live coverage of GM's progress in the race from a camera mounted inside the GM-sponsored Corvette entry.
"The GM Experience at Le Mans was designed as an entertaining showcase of GM's ability to connect cars directly to the Internet," said Jay Flaherty, director of marketing and promotions for e-GM. "MindArrow's technology provides us with an innovative way to promote this type of exciting, Internet-based marketing program to current and potential customers."
In addition to the multimedia clip and the race coverage, the e-GM eBrochure also provided links to the official General Motors website where recipients could learn more about GM products, and to GMBuyPower.com to research GM vehicle purchases online. An additional link offered recipients the option of forwarding the eBrochure to other racing fans.
"eBrochures represent a creative and cost-effective method for automobile manufacturers to deliver both information and entertainment to the growing population of web-savvy consumers," said Tom Blakeley, CEO and chairman of MindArrow Systems. "Our technologies are an ideal way for e-GM to leverage the Internet to develop relationships with car enthusiasts throughout the country."
Spyder Communications, one of MindArrow's licensed Solution Partners based in Detroit, was responsible for arranging the e-GM eBrochure campaign.
