Highlights of 15th Annual ProfitKey International User Group Conference

SALEM, N.H. - ProfitKey International, a leading software-solution provider for the discrete manufacturing sector, reports significant increases in new users, new installations, and recognized several Users of the Year at its just completed 15th Annual ProfitKey User Group Conference.

Joseph J. DiZazzo, ProfitKey International President and CEO, in his remarks to the approximately 300 User Group attendees said, "It is no secret that 1999 was a challenging year for any vendor of ERP software, ourselves included. However, the acceptance of the latest version of Rapid Response Manufacturing more than met our expectations, with an eight-time increase in new licenses. At the same time, new installations increased by 200 percent. In our key market of small to medium-sized discrete manufacturers, these increases indicate that our full-service solutions approach is significant."

Kevin Parker, Editor-in-Chief of MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS magazine, keynoted the opening session discussing issues related to enterprise, supply chain and plant operations applications, and the emergence of e-Business applications.

William F. McSpadden, President of Plant-Wide Research, examined market size, company structures and opportunities for growth in the manufacturing business, particularly the anticipated effects of the Internet on supplier/customer relationships.

1999 ProfitKey Users of the Year

Recognized for their utilization of ProfitKey Rapid Response Manufacturing systems, as well as their support for ProfitKey within the customer and prospect community are:

Aerospace Dynamics International (ADI), a major corporation supporting both the aeronautics and aerospace sectors. Products include structural machine parts, landing gear components and assemblies and tooling. During 1999, ADI upgraded ProfitKey's Rapid Response Manufacturing system to Version 6, and with a firm commitment from corporate management invested in both new technology and retraining of their entire staff. ADI now has the capability of tracing parts to a nine-hour delivery window.

Schneider Packaging Equipment Company, a manufacturer of a complete line of case and tray packing equipment, along with robotic and gantry palletizing systems offering complete "end-of-line" solutions. Rapid Response Manufacturing reduced workload, particularly in purchasing, receiving and part tracking, allowing engineers to concentrate on customer solutions directly in the field.

Spectra-Kote, a make-to-order manufacturer satisfying demands for customers ranging from fast food and fragrance packages to fresh produce shipping containers, power tools and folding cartons and products. If a customer can imagine a package, Spectra-Kote has the technology to bring it to market when promised and within budget. Rapid Response Manufacturing fits this need.
