DataDetroit.com Names Finalists to Their 'Vehicle of the Future' Design CompetitionDETROIT - DataDetroit.com, an automotive specific Internet job board, today named the 15 finalists to the BFGoodrich Tires sponsored "Vehicle of the Future" Design Contest. The student's names, schools, and cities are available by following the contest links on the http://www.DataDetroit.com web site. The finalists include students from the United States and Canada, and ranging from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific. The 15 finalists will be presented to a panel of three judges from the automotive industry. Three winners will be selected at a determination ceremony on June 29, 2000. The determination ceremony is being hosted by Charley's Crab restaurant (248-879-2060) in Troy, Michigan. The judges will score the finalists on concept, practicality, and presentation. The three winners will be revealed on the http://www.DataDetroit.com and http://www.CAR-eers.com web sites on July 4, 2000. "It's cool to think of kids sketching cars on their notebooks just like I did when I was in high school," said Tom Feeney, President of DataDetroit.com. "The only difference is their notebooks are made by IBM where mine were spiral bound."
