Sika Corporation Opens State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility in Grandview

    GRANDVIEW, Mo. - Sika Corporation, which has seen tremendous growth and 
innovation in the manufacture of adhesives, sealants and acoustic products, is 
pleased to announce the grand opening of its newest state-of-the-art 
manufacturing facility at 14201 Botts Road, off 150 Highway in Grandview, 
Missouri.

    The 225,000 square foot plant produces acoustical products for the
Automotive OEM industry and sealants for Metal Building construction.  The $12
million office/manufacturing and warehouse facility houses 300 employees with
that number increasing by 100 in the next 18 months.  Construction at the 45-
acre site was completed in October 1999.

    Dr. Hans Peter Ming, Chairman of the Board, and Enrico Tissi, President of
Sika Corporation USA, will join fellow dignitaries for a ribbon cutting/grand
opening ceremony and luncheon on Thursday, June 15, 2000.

    This is the second major new Sika facility to open in less than a year.
In September, 1999, Sika Automotive opened their 30,000 square foot Corporate
Acoustical Test Facility in Madison Heights, Michigan.
