I-Sim Conducts First Officer Driver Training for San Jose Police Department

SALT LAKE CITY - I-Sim Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of
driving simulation equipment, will host an open house today to commemorate its
first officer driver training for the San Jose Police Department. In an effort
to reduce accidents and fatalities involving emergency vehicles, I-Sim has
constructed and installed four PatrolSim(TM) driving simulators for the
department's officer training program.

The open house will take place at the San Jose Police Training Center at
1302 North 4th Street in San Jose. The proceedings will begin at 1 p.m. (PT)
with remarks by Mayor Ron Gonzales and Chief of Police William Lansdowne,
after which officers will begin official training on the PatrolSim simulators.

The San Jose Police Department is one of six law enforcement agencies in
California to have a regional training site with I-Sim technology. Since
February 2000, the police departments of Fresno, Orange County, Riverside, San
Diego, San Jose, and West Covina have each installed four PatrolSim simulators
as an integral part of their officer training programs.

"The 24 PatrolSim simulators have been installed in police departments
throughout California as part of a proactive campaign to improve officer
driving skills," said Reg Welles, president of I-Sim. "In 1998, more than
1,700 emergency vehicles were involved in injury-related collisions in
California. The PatrolSim provides advanced training in a controlled
environment where officers and equipment are not at risk, and we believe this
program will help to considerably reduce officer-related accidents."

The PatrolSim driving simulator uses I-Sim's state-of-the-art simulation
technology to provide a highly realistic training environment. The open-seat
driving station in the PatrolSim incorporates I-Sim's vehicle dynamics, preset
and user-programmable traffic scenarios and sophisticated road surface
software to ensure a true-to-life experience for drivers of all abilities.

"I-Sim has integrated many of our ideas and suggestions into the final
design of the PatrolSim simulators for San Jose," said Lieutenant Babineau of
the San Jose Police Department. "We believe the simulators will provide our
officers with exceptional hands-on driving experience, and we look forward to
integrating the I-Sim system into our training program."

I-Sim was approved by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and
Training (POST) to be a driving simulator provider for California law
enforcement agencies. By meeting the standards set by POST for
simulator-based training, I-Sim maintains its leadership position as a vendor
for vehicle and municipal agencies throughout the state of California.

Founded in 1849, the San Jose Police Department celebrated its 150th
anniversary in 1999. The department employs 1,800 sworn members and civilians
and trains officers in entry level, range and in-service training. The San
Jose Police Department was one of the original test sites for the simulator
project in 1989 and was the first police department to recognize linked
training.

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, I-Sim Corporation is a leading developer
of high-performance wheeled-vehicle simulators for driver training in the law
enforcement, trucking, military, research and emergency-vehicle markets.
I-Sim's simulators provide highly realistic driving experiences without the
risk and expense associated with real-world training.
