15 June 2000

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Debis humaita IT Services, a DaimlerChrysler subsidiary
based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has joined the global distribution network for
ADAMS(R), the market-leading functional virtual prototyping software from
Mechanical Dynamics, Inc.

Debis humaita provides engineering services to a variety of automotive and
general machinery manufacturers in Brazil and other countries around the
world, along with information technology services such as systems integration,
applications management, and software development. The company has used ADAMS
in several heavy truck applications, including suspension design, vehicle
handling, and flexible frame analysis.

"Debis humaita's move from being a user of ADAMS to a distributor
emphasizes the value of the solutions offered by our ADAMS product line," said
Raymond J. Gaynor, Mechanical Dynamics' vice president of Asia/Pacific
Operations. "They have made this commitment based on their experience and
success in using ADAMS to meet their customers' highest expectations."

Marcos Antonio Argentino, manager of debis humaita, said, "Building on our
strong technical expertise, we decided to expand our offerings by also
providing the best-of-class in computer-aided engineering software to our
clients. Our success with ADAMS has proved it fits this requirement. We are
proud to be affiliated with Mechanical Dynamics and to be able to offer ADAMS
to our clients."

Gaynor noted that Mechanical Dynamics has seen greater demand for its
functional virtual prototyping solutions in Brazil in recent years, due in
part to the increasing numbers of global automotive OEMs and suppliers
competing for business throughout the Latin America region.
