Zentropy Partners' Redesign of GM BuyPower Web Site Rated No. 1 Overall Car Buying Site by Gomez Advisors
LOS ANGELES - Zentropy Partners, a worldwide digital consulting and development company affiliated with The Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. , today announced its redesign work for GM BuyPower.com, a comprehensive online automotive buying service for General Motors, received the No.1 auto manufacturer site ranking by Gomez Advisors.Zentropy Partners was hired by GM BuyPower to redesign the original Web site. The goal of the two companies was to make the online car-buying experience easier for consumers by adding more customer-centric functionality and creating a simple click-through process.

Gomez Advisors, the premier provider of e-commerce measurement noted that GM BuyPowers' "remarkably improved site puts the consumer in the driver's seat." Gomez Advisors evaluated auto manufacturers' sites on more than 150 criteria and also awarded GM BuyPower the No. 1 rating in the "on-site resource" and No. 2 in both "customer confidence" and "relationship services."
In the consumer profile section of the report, Gomez judged auto sites based on how they meet the needs of specific consumer types including: "serious shopper" -- consumer intends to purchase a vehicle within two weeks; "tire kicker" -- consumer intends to purchase from a select group of autos; and "first-time buyer" -- consumer is purchasing a car for the first time. Gomez gave GM BuyPower No. 1 scores in all three of these consumer categories.
