Federal-Mogul Appoints Michael L. Pape Vice PresidentSOUTHFIELD, Mich. - G. Michael Lynch, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Federal-Mogul Corporation today announced the appointment of Michael L. Pape to vice president - controller. Pape was most recently vice president - operations controller, a position he held since joining Federal- Mogul in 1998. Pape, 39, will assume the additional responsibilities held by Ken Slaby, vice president - controller, who has elected to leave the company and relocate to Florida to pursue business opportunities. "The appointment of Pape and his expanded responsibilities consolidates all corporate reporting, accounting and operations analysis, and will provide focused support for our business operations in meeting the challenges they face," said Lynch. "Federal-Mogul's succession planning process had us prepared for this realignment of responsibilities and will provide the basis for a smooth transition." Before joining Federal-Mogul, Pape held senior financial management positions at Tenneco Automotive where he was employed for ten years. Earlier he worked in public accounting with Arthur Andersen & Company. He is an accounting graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is an automotive parts manufacturer providing innovative solutions and systems to global customers in the automotive, light truck, heavy-duty, and farm and industrial markets. The company was founded in 1899.
