Federal-Mogul and Dialight Expand Strategic Alliance

13 June 2000

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Federal-Mogul Corporation announced Monday it will
exclusively market Dialight Corporation's DiodeLite line of light emitting
diode (LED) heavy-duty vehicle exterior lighting products to worldwide original
equipment manufacturers in the heavy-duty truck, trailer, body builder and
recreational vehicle market segments.

"The alliance with Dialight enhances our position as an OEM systems
supplier, in the heavy-truck and trailer segment," said Bill Buchman, vice
president of sales, marketing and engineering, Federal-Mogul. "This agreement
leverages the strengths of both organizations in the rapidly expanding,
technology-driven, LED market. It also provides us with a full product
offering at the OEM level."

"By extending the terms of our original agreement to the OEM segment, we
hope to more aggressively promote adoption of LED lighting in the North
American heavy-duty vehicle industry," said Gary R. Durgin, Dialight's vice
president of marketing. "At the same time, it gives fleet customers a
seamless solution to their lighting needs from OEM specification through
aftermarket replacement."

Since 1996, Federal-Mogul and Dialight have maintained an aftermarket
joint distribution agreement, allowing Federal-Mogul to sell, market, and
distribute replacement Dialight LED products. The product line offers one of
the industry's most extensive selection of LED signal and marker lights,
including both oval and round stop-tail-turn signals, standard, rectangular,
and round marker lights, oval center-high-mount stop lights, cab markers and
front park/turn signals.

In addition to the OE marketing alliance and aftermarket distribution
agreement, Federal-Mogul produces the molded components for Dialight's
manufacturing and assembly operations. These include lenses, lamp housings
and mounting grommets, which are shipped to Dialight's Roxboro, North
Carolina, facility and employed in the final assembly of vehicular LED
lighting.

Dialight is a subsidiary of the U.K.-based Roxboro Group PLC. The company
has 60 years of experience in lighting technology and its application,
including more than 25 years of leadership in the design and production of LED
indicators. The company is the only manufacturer of vehicle lighting that
specializes solely in LED lighting.

Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is an automotive
parts manufacturer providing innovative solutions and systems to global
customers in the automotive, light truck, heavy-duty, and farm and industrial
markets. The company was founded in 1899.
