Textron Fastening Systems Acquires World-Class Injection Molder

Addition of Advantage Molding and Decorating Strengthens Textron Fastening Systems Telecommunications Technological Capabilities
     
    TROY, Mich. - Textron Fastening Systems today announced the acquisition of 
Advantage Molding and Decorating, a privately owned U.S. company.  Advantage, a 
leading supplier of injection molded parts, tooling, and pad-printed designs, 
manufactures highly decorative lenses for use in the wireless telecommunications 
industry.  Based in Mount Prospect, Illinois, with a second facility in Naples, 
Florida, Advantage adds capabilities to Textron Fastening Systems' Advanced 
Solutions Group located in Gilbert, Arizona.  With 2000 sales forecast at $20.4 
million, Advantage's customer base includes Motorola, Advanced Dial, Borg Indak, 
and Flextronics. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

    "This acquisition builds on our recent acquisition of InteSys Technologies
and increases our participation in the high growth wireless industry.
Bringing Advantage on board complements our strategy of acquiring businesses

expand Textron Fastening Systems' global product offering," said Textron
