Yazaki to Join Covisint Exchange

CANTON, Mich. - Yazaki North America, a leading supplier of power and
data solutions to the automotive industry, announced today their intention to
join Covisint, the global Internet exchange being formed by General Motors, Ford
, DaimlerChrysler and other automotive companies. George Perry, executive vice-
president of YNA made the announcement today.

"Yazaki sees this exchange as an integral part of the evolution of the
automotive industry. Having been asked to be a charter member in this venture
fits well with our aggressive stance of being committed to providing leading-
edge service to our customers and we see Covisint as a key element in our
drive to use e-commerce tools across our global organization. Being one of
the first Japanese automotive suppliers to join, sends a clear signal of the
significant potential value that this venture has to the global automotive
supplier community," Perry said.

This venture will have far-reaching implications and will cause many
companies to re-think the way they do business. It is anticipated that when
fully implemented, the exchange will handle purchases in excess of $240
billion annually.

According to executives at Covisint, being a part of the early formulation
and development of this exchange will help all those companies involved as
well as ensure its success.
