Yazaki to Join Covisint ExchangeCANTON, Mich. - Yazaki North America, a leading supplier of power and data solutions to the automotive industry, announced today their intention to join Covisint, the global Internet exchange being formed by General Motors, Ford , DaimlerChrysler and other automotive companies. Being one of the first Japanese automotive suppliers to join, sends a clear signal of the significant potential value that this venture has to the global automotive supplier community," Perry said. This venture will have far-reaching implications and will cause many companies to re-think the way they do business. It is anticipated that when fully implemented, the exchange will handle purchases in excess of $240 billion annually.
