Cooper-Standard Automotive Honored With DaimlerChrysler Gold Award

FINDLAY, Ohio - Cooper-Standard Automotive, an operating group of Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, announced Thursday that its NVH Control Systems plant in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada has received the DaimlerChrysler Gold Award (formerly the Gold Pentastar Award) for 1999.
This is the third year in a row the Mitchell plant has received this designation.
"Everyone associated with the Mitchell facility is proud of this accomplishment," said Paul Gilbert, president of the Cooper-Standard NVH Controls Systems Division. "To receive the award for one year is outstanding, but to receive it three years in a row is phenomenal.
"Obtaining this award requires a total team effort from our technical, manufacturing, quality assurance, sales and purchasing groups. It's a tribute to the teamwork which takes place every day at Mitchell," Gilbert added.
The exclusive DaimlerChrysler Gold Award recognizes world-class performance. It is awarded to suppliers who exemplify superior standards for product design, manufacturing quality, delivery and customer service.
