Lord Corporation Signs Agreement With FukokuCARY, N.C. - Lord Corporation's Mechanical Products Division, Cary, NC, USA and Fukoku Company Ltd., Ageo, Saitama, Japan have formed a Strategic Alliance to design, manufacture and sell certain industrial products for control of shock , noise and vibration on a worldwide basis. In making the announcement Eric Ravinowich, Regional General Manager, Far East, said, "We believe this alliance will provide our customers better worldwide support by most effective utilization of the capabilities of both organizations. This will include an exchange of certain technologies that will assist each organization. "Products included in the alliance are industrial products for a number of transportation markets ranging from on highway to rail and rapid transit. There are certain areas within the agreement where other alliances or primary marketing of certain products are proprietary to each member of the alliance." Fukoku was established in 1953 in Ageo, Saitama, Japan. In addition to operations in Japan, it has manufacturing facilities in So. Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and in the USA. Fukoku manufactures and sells a large product line of Industrial anti-vibration rubber-to-metal products as well as a series of molded rubber products. Lord Corporation was founded in 1924 in Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. The Mechanical Products Division designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of shock, vibration and noise control products for both Industrial and Aerospace markets. In addition to operations in the United States, Lord MPD has operations in Europe, is currently constructing a facility in Shanghai, China and has an Alliance in India.
