Lear Corporation Awards Grand Aire Inc. Air Cargo Transportation Contract Valued at Up to $20 Million

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Lear Corporation today announced that it has awarded
Grand Aire Inc., a certified minority supplier of air charter management
services, a contract valued at up to $20 million as Lear's sole air cargo
management company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Grand Aire, a privately held company
based in Toledo, Ohio, will handle the air freight transportation needs for
all Lear's North American facilities. The contract follows a rigorous, six-
month demonstration of Grand Aire's capabilities.

"We are very proud of this agreement," said Tahir Cheema, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Grand Aire. "To gain Lear's confidence, we needed
to prove that we were able to meet Lear's needs in emergency air charter
situations. With the teamwork between the employees at Grand Aire and our
suppliers, we were able to do just that."

"During the trial period, Grand Aire was able to locate aircraft at a fair
price to Lear even though air cargo transportation was very hard to find due
to the record-setting pace of the automotive industry," said Lear Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth L. Way. "The agreement with Grand Aire
demonstrates Lear's ongoing commitment to increase our purchases of products
and services from minority sources to $600 million annually by 2005."

Grand Aire Inc., headquartered at Toledo Express Airport, is one of North
America's largest air charter management companies with seven operating bases
throughout the United States. Founded in 1988 by Cheema, Grand Aire is a
certified minority corporation offering door-to-door, freight air charter
management and executive passenger services.

Lear Corporation, a Fortune 150 company headquartered in Southfield,
Mich., USA, is one of the world's largest automotive suppliers with 1999 sales
of $12.4 billion. The company's world-class products are designed, engineered
and manufactured by more than 120,000 employees in over 300 facilities located
in 33 countries.
